Blizzard shared stats from the three-week World of Warcraft Forever beta, which saw over 8.8 million characters created. The figures back up claims that the title is setting company records.
Blizzard has not released exact numbers on how many players pre-purchased World of Warcraft Forever and took part in its beta. The studio did share a set of statistics, though, that supports a recent comment from Xbox's CEO that the game is already breaking records for the company.
According to the figures, the three-week beta saw more than 8.8 million characters created. That level of early interest gives a sense of how eagerly players are anticipating the release.
As the full launch approaches, players can expect more details from Blizzard about the game's progress and what comes next.
