FFXIV: One Day of Game Time Granted After Unexpected Login Suspension

Eligible FINAL FANTASY XIV accounts will receive one day of game time to make up for the roughly one-day halt in new logins during October 21 to 22, 2026. Grants begin October 28.

Players were affected when new logins were suspended for about a day, from October 21 to October 22, 2026. The suspension was an emergency response to a critical vulnerability in the PHP programming language. Because the change came without advance notice and lasted a full day, the team is offering compensation to eligible players.

Accounts qualify if the full version of FINAL FANTASY XIV is registered to the service account and it had an active subscription on October 21 or October 22, 2026 (PDT). Subscribers with recurring payments will have their subscription end date extended by one day, and paid optional services such as additional retainer subscriptions will be extended as well. Accounts without recurring payments will simply have one day of game time added.

The grants will be applied in sequence starting October 28, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. PDT. Because of the large number of accounts, the process is expected to take two to three days. The compensation applies to the global version of the game only, and the details may differ by region depending on local login impacts and applicable laws.
