FFXIV: New Logins Restored on All Worlds After Security Work

New logins are working again on all worlds after temporary security enhancements tied to a PHP vulnerability. Save data backups remain paused.

New logins have resumed on all worlds. They had been paused temporarily while security enhancements were made in response to a serious vulnerability in the PHP programming language that affected systems worldwide. Updated patch servers went live early on Thursday, October 22, 2026, Pacific Time.

The save data server backup feature is still suspended for the same reason. Work on it is ongoing, and a timeframe for its return has not yet been set. Further details will be shared once that is known.

The developers apologized for the inconvenience caused by the login interruption.
