Fractured Skies Expansion: Military Campaigns and Navy Attack Battlecruisers Arrive
The Fractured Skies expansion launches on 10 November with two-month Military Campaigns that any capsuleer can join. New navy attack battlecruisers also enter the fight for each empire.
The Fractured Skies expansion begins on 10 November and runs toward the first Conquest in February. Ancient artifacts have surfaced across New Eden, and each empire is racing to claim them. Each empire launches a two-month Military Campaign that pits it against a rival: Amarr against Minmatar, and Caldari against Gallente. Capsuleers can take part whether or not they are enlisted in Factional Warfare.
Campaigns have four objectives in or around Factional Warfare space, including hacking containers, destroying non-capsuleer forces, and mining. Players deliver faction-specific campaign items to item traders in their chosen empire's headquarters to advance those objectives. Contributors earn rewards along the way, and completing an objective unlocks a system-wide bonus that applies to every ship in the empire's space.
Each empire is also fielding a new navy attack battlecruiser. These ships build on the strengths of existing attack battlecruisers, adding speed, firepower, and a faction-specific bonus. They are best for hit-and-run strikes and need support against frigates. The expansion culminates in a live confrontation in lowsec in mid-January, where the first empire to finish all four objectives decides the battleground.
